Coastal Police is alert and on sea patrol 24 hours in 3 shifts to secure Coastal frontier by conducting boat patrolling.
General awareness programs for the fishermen community are being organized by Coastal Police in Coastal areas regularly.

There are 29 personnel of various ranks of Kerala Police who have undergone initial scuba diving training successfully at the Southern Naval Command. Since most of them around 30 years, this will be a good and productive investment for Kerala Police in public interest for a long period.
This Scuba Diving platoon will be competent to undertake any rescue and search operations. The service of the Scuba Diving platoon can be utilized throughout the Coastal area of Kerala and also in the backwaters.
